TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of www.womensprovolleyballleague.com, any associated mobile or digital platform, registration portal, ticketing page, merchandise store, official social-media page, or other online service operated under the Women’s Pro Volleyball League brand collectively referred to as the “Platform”.

The Platform is owned and operated by Power Spike International Private Limited, the organiser and operator of the Women’s Pro Volleyball League (“WPVL”, “League”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

These Terms constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, as amended from time to time. 

By visiting the Platform, creating an account, submitting a registration, purchasing a ticket or product, participating in any WPVL activity, or otherwise using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

1.1 Your access to and use of the Platform is conditional upon your acceptance of these Terms.

1.2 By clicking “I Agree”, “Submit”, “Register”, “Proceed”, “Buy Now”, “Pay Now” or any similar button, you enter into a legally binding agreement with WPVL.

1.3 If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform, complete any transaction or submit any information through it.

1.4 Certain services, competitions, registrations, trials, auctions, events, promotions or purchases may be governed by additional rules, policies, forms, waivers or agreements. Where additional terms apply, they shall be read together with these Terms.

1.5 In case of any conflict between these Terms and specific written terms issued for a ticket, event, player registration, franchise, sponsorship, vendor engagement or competition, the specific written terms shall prevail for that activity.

2. DEFINITIONS

For the purpose of these Terms:

a. “Company” means Power Spike International Private Limited.

b. “WPVL” or “League” means the Women’s Pro Volleyball League and its authorised competitions, events, programmes and commercial activities.

c. “Platform” includes the WPVL website, registration portals, ticketing pages, online stores, applications, digital services and official social-media channels.

d. “User” or “you” means any person accessing or using the Platform.

e. “Participant” means a player, coach, official, volunteer, staff member, franchise representative, applicant or any person participating in a WPVL activity.

f. “Event” means any match, auction, trial, press conference, fan engagement, ceremony, workshop, tournament, promotional activity or other programme organised, supported or authorised by WPVL.

g. “Content” includes text, graphics, logos, names, photographs, videos, match footage, commentary, statistics, schedules, software, designs, audio, data and other material available through the Platform.

h. “User Content” means any photograph, video, document, comment, testimonial, application, response, message or other material submitted by a User.

3. ELIGIBILITY AND LEGAL CAPACITY

3.1 You must be legally competent to enter into a contract under applicable law to independently register, purchase, transact or agree to binding obligations through the Platform.

3.2 Persons below eighteen years of age may use the Platform or participate in WPVL activities only with the knowledge, supervision and legally valid consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3.3 Where a minor submits a registration, the parent or legal guardian shall be responsible for:

a. reviewing and accepting these Terms;

b. providing valid consent;

c. ensuring that all information submitted is accurate;

d. making any applicable payment; and

e. accompanying or supervising the minor where required.

3.4 WPVL may require proof of age, identity or guardianship before accepting a registration or permitting participation.

3.5 By using the Platform, you represent that you are not prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law, regulation, sports sanction or judicial order.

4. NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE PLATFORM

4.1 The Platform may provide information and services relating to:

a. WPVL teams, players, matches and schedules;

b. player registrations, trials, scouting and auctions;

c. tickets and event access;

d. merchandise and promotional products;

e. franchise, sponsorship, media and partnership opportunities;

f. press releases, photographs and media content;

g. fan engagement, contests and promotions;

h. volunteering, employment or vendor opportunities; and

i. other activities associated with WPVL.

4.2 WPVL may add, modify, suspend, discontinue or restrict any feature or service at any time, subject to applicable law and existing contractual obligations.

4.3 Information displayed on the Platform is generally provided for informational and promotional purposes and does not, by itself, create any employment, player, franchise, sponsorship, partnership, agency or commercial relationship.

4.4 No person is authorised to make a binding commitment on behalf of WPVL unless such commitment is issued in writing by an authorised representative of the Company.

5. USER ACCOUNTS

5.1 Certain Platform features may require you to create an account.

5.2 You agree to provide complete, current and accurate information while creating or maintaining an account.

5.3 You are responsible for:

a. protecting your password, OTP and account credentials;

b. restricting unauthorised access to your device or account;

c. all activity conducted through your account; and

d. notifying WPVL promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

5.4 You must not:

a. create an account using another person’s identity;

b. provide false, misleading or fabricated information;

c. create multiple accounts to manipulate registrations, promotions or purchases;

d. sell, transfer, rent or share your account; or

e. attempt to access another User’s account.

5.5 WPVL may verify account information through email, mobile OTP, identification documents or other reasonable methods.

5.6 WPVL may suspend or close an account where it reasonably believes that:

a. information provided is false or misleading;

b. the account has been compromised;

c. the User has violated these Terms;

d. the account is being used for fraud, abuse or unlawful activity; or

e. suspension is required for security, legal or regulatory reasons.

6. PLAYER REGISTRATION, TRIALS AND SELECTION

6.1 Submission of a player registration form does not guarantee:

a. selection for WPVL;

b. an invitation to a trial orLECTION

6.1 Submission of a player registration form assessment;

c. inclusion in a player auction;

d. selection by any franchise;

e. execution of a player contract;

f. playing time, remuneration or employment; or

g. participation in any match or season.

6.2 WPVL and its authorised committees, scouts, franchises, coaches and officials may evaluate applicants according to criteria determined by WPVL, which may include:

a. age and eligibility;

b. playing position;

c. sporting experience and performance;

d. fitness and medical suitability;

e. disciplinary and integrity history;

f. documentation;

g. team requirements; and

h. compliance with League rules.

6.3 Applicants must provide true and complete information regarding their:

a. name, age and contact details;

b. playing experience and achievements;

c. current or previous team affiliations;

d. injuries, fitness restrictions or relevant medical information requested for participation;

e. disciplinary history;

f. anti-doping status;

g. contractual commitments; and

h. any suspension or restriction imposed by a sports body.

6.4 WPVL may verify submitted information with sports associations, educational institutions, teams, coaches, referees or other relevant persons, subject to applicable law and consent requirements.

6.5 WPVL may reject or cancel a registration where:

a. false or forged information has been submitted;

b. the applicant is ineligible;

c. the registration is incomplete;

d. the applicant fails to provide required documents;

e. the applicant breaches WPVL rules;

f. registration capacity has been reached; or

g. rejection is reasonably necessary to protect the integrity or safety of the League.

6.6 Any registration fee, where applicable, shall be governed by the refund conditions displayed at the time of registration.

6.7 Unless expressly stated otherwise, costs relating to travel, accommodation, food, equipment, insurance, documentation and participation shall be borne by the applicant.

6.8 Selected players may be required to execute separate documents, including:

a. player agreements;

b. participation waivers;

c. image and media releases;

d. medical declarations;

e. anti-doping declarations;

f. code-of-conduct acknowledgements;

g. confidentiality undertakings; and

h. franchise or auction documentation.

6.9 A selection announcement shall not be final until communicated through an official WPVL channel and all required agreements, checks and formalities have been completed.

6.10 Decisions relating to sporting assessment, player categorisation, eligibility and team composition shall be made by WPVL and its authorised sporting bodies in accordance with League rules.

7. FRANCHISE, SPONSORSHIP, PARTNERSHIP AND VENDOR ENQUIRIES

7.1 Submission of a franchise, sponsorship, media, partnership or vendor enquiry is an expression of interest only.

7.2 No enquiry, presentation, email, discussion, meeting, proposal, term sheet or verbal communication shall create a binding relationship unless a definitive written agreement is signed by authorised representatives of the relevant parties.

7.3 WPVL may conduct background, financial, legal, reputation, conflict-of-interest and compliance checks before entering into any commercial arrangement.

7.4 WPVL reserves the right to accept or reject any commercial proposal at its discretion, subject to applicable law.

7.5 Confidential or commercially sensitive information should not be submitted unless an appropriate confidentiality arrangement has been agreed.

7.6 Any franchise, sponsorship, media-rights, licensing or vendor relationship shall be governed by a separate written agreement.

8. TICKETS AND EVENT BOOKINGS

8.1 Where tickets are offered through the Platform, all bookings shall be subject to:

a. ticket availability;

b. venue capacity;

c. booking limits;

d. payment confirmation;

e. event-specific conditions; and

f. applicable taxes and charges.

8.2 A booking is confirmed only after successful payment and issuance of an official booking confirmation or ticket.

8.3 A payment acknowledgement, pending transaction message or debit from your account does not by itself confirm a booking.

8.4 You are responsible for checking the details of the event, including the date, reporting time, venue, seating category, age restrictions and entry requirements before completing a purchase.

8.5 Tickets may be issued electronically, physically or through an authorised ticketing partner.

8.6 A ticket may not be:

a. duplicated;

b. counterfeited;

c. altered;

d. commercially resold;

e. used for unauthorised promotion, contest or hospitality;

f. transferred in violation of ticket-specific conditions; or

g. obtained through an unauthorised source.

8.7 WPVL may cancel a ticket without refund where it was purchased fraudulently, duplicated, unlawfully resold or used in breach of these Terms.

8.8 WPVL is not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorised sellers, resellers, social-media accounts or third-party individuals.

8.9 Ticket holders may be required to present:

a. a valid ticket or QR code;

b. booking confirmation;

c. valid government-issued identification; and

d. any other document specified for the event.

8.10 Lost, damaged or deleted tickets may be reissued only where the booking can be verified and reissuance is operationally possible.

9. EVENT ENTRY AND SPECTATOR CONDUCT

9.1 Admission to an Event is subject to venue rules, security procedures and instructions issued by WPVL, venue management, police, security personnel or authorised officials.

9.2 WPVL may refuse admission or remove a person from an Event where the person:

a. does not possess a valid ticket or accreditation;

b. appears intoxicated or under the influence of prohibited substances;

c. behaves violently, abusively, indecently or disruptively;

d. threatens the safety of any person;

e. engages in harassment, discrimination or hate speech;

f. enters a restricted area;

g. carries a prohibited item;

h. damages property;

i. interferes with players, officials, broadcasters or event operations;

j. conducts unauthorised commercial activity;

k. records or transmits the Event for commercial purposes;

l. engages in betting-related misconduct or match manipulation; or

m. violates any applicable law or venue instruction.

9.3 Prohibited items may include, depending on venue rules:

a. weapons or dangerous objects;

b. fireworks, flares or explosives;

c. illegal substances;

d. glass containers;

e. large professional cameras or broadcasting equipment without permission;

f. drones;

g. laser devices;

h. offensive banners or materials;

i. unauthorised promotional material; and

j. any item considered unsafe by security personnel.

9.4 Security screening, bag checks and identity verification may be conducted as a condition of entry.

9.5 A person refusing reasonable security procedures may be denied entry without refund.

9.6 Parents and guardians remain responsible for minors attending an Event with them.

9.7 Spectators must occupy only the seat or area assigned to them and must comply with instructions regarding entry, exit, evacuation and crowd movement.

9.8 Smoking, vaping and consumption of alcohol shall be permitted only where expressly allowed by the venue and applicable law.

9.9 Removal from an Event due to misconduct shall not entitle the person to a refund.

10. EVENT SCHEDULES, CHANGES, POSTPONEMENT AND CANCELLATION

10.1 Match schedules, participating teams, player line-ups, venues, start times, ceremonies, entertainment and Event formats may change due to sporting, operational, broadcasting, safety, regulatory or other requirements.

10.2 The appearance or participation of any particular player, coach, team, celebrity, performer, guest or official is not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.

10.3 Where an Event is rescheduled, the original ticket may remain valid for the rescheduled date, subject to the communication issued by WPVL or the ticketing partner.

10.4 Where an Event is cancelled and not rescheduled, eligible ticket purchasers shall receive the refund or remedy communicated by WPVL, subject to applicable law.

10.5 Refunds shall ordinarily be made to the original payment method.

10.6 Processing timelines may depend on banks, payment gateways and ticketing partners.

10.7 Convenience fees, delivery charges or payment-processing charges shall be refundable only where required by applicable law or expressly stated in the applicable refund policy.

10.8 WPVL shall not be responsible for personal expenses incurred by a ticket holder, including travel, accommodation, food, visa, parking or other incidental expenses, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

11. MERCHANDISE AND ONLINE PURCHASES

11.1 Merchandise may be sold directly by WPVL or through authorised third-party sellers.

11.2 Product images are provided for reference. Minor variations in colour, packaging, appearance or finish may occur due to screen settings, production processes or product updates.

11.3 Product availability is not guaranteed until the order is accepted and confirmed.

11.4 WPVL may cancel or limit an order where:

a. the product is unavailable;

b. the price or description contains an obvious error;

c. payment verification fails;

d. delivery is unavailable at the provided address;

e. the order appears fraudulent;

f. purchase limits have been exceeded; or

g. cancellation is required by law.

11.5 Delivery timelines are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.

11.6 Delays may occur due to courier operations, weather, public restrictions, incorrect addresses, remote locations or events beyond WPVL’s reasonable control.

11.7 Users must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and contact information.

11.8 Risk of loss or damage shall be dealt with according to applicable law and the terms displayed at the time of purchase.

11.9 Requests for returns, exchanges or refunds must be submitted within the period stated in the applicable Return and Refund Policy.

11.10 Products that are customised, personalised, used, washed, damaged after delivery or returned without original tags may not be eligible for return, except where defective, incorrectly supplied or otherwise required by law.

11.11 A damaged, defective or incorrect product should be reported promptly with the order number and reasonable photographic evidence.

12. PRICING, PAYMENTS AND TAXES

12.1 All prices shall be displayed in Indian Rupees unless otherwise stated.

12.2 Applicable taxes, platform charges, delivery fees, convenience fees or other charges shall be disclosed before payment, wherever required.

12.3 Payments may be processed through banks, payment gateways, UPI platforms, card networks or other authorised payment providers.

12.4 Your use of a third-party payment service may also be governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

12.5 WPVL does not ask Users to disclose their card PIN, internet-banking password or OTP through telephone calls, messages or social media.

12.6 You are responsible for ensuring that:

a. the payment instrument is lawfully used;

b. sufficient funds or credit are available;

c. payment details are accurate; and

d. the transaction is authorised.

12.7 If payment is deducted but confirmation is not received, you should contact WPVL with the transaction reference. Confirmation shall be subject to payment reconciliation.

12.8 WPVL may correct an obvious pricing, typographical or technical error before accepting an order. Where payment has already been received for an affected order, the User may be offered the corrected price or a refund.

12.9 Any refund shall be processed in accordance with the relevant ticket, registration, merchandise or transaction-specific policy.

13. PROMOTIONS, CONTESTS AND GIVEAWAYS

13.1 Promotions, contests, fan votes, giveaways and competitions may be governed by separate official rules.

13.2 Unless stated otherwise:

a. participation is voluntary;

b. entries must be genuine;

c. automated, bulk or fraudulent entries are prohibited;

d. eligibility may be restricted by age, location or other criteria;

e. prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash;

f. taxes or expenses associated with a prize may be the winner’s responsibility; and

g. WPVL may disqualify entries that violate the rules.

13.3 WPVL may cancel, suspend or modify a promotion where fraud, technical failure, legal restriction or circumstances beyond its reasonable control affect its fairness or operation.

13.4 Winners may be required to verify their identity and eligibility before receiving a prize.

13.5 Failure to respond within the specified period may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.

14. USER CONTENT AND SUBMISSIONS

14.1 You retain ownership of original User Content submitted by you.

14.2 By submitting User Content for publication, promotion, a contest, testimonial, fan activity or similar public-facing purpose, you grant WPVL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, publish, communicate and display that content for the purpose for which it was submitted and for related WPVL promotional activities.

14.3 The licence granted under Clause 14.2 shall not transfer ownership of your User Content to WPVL.

14.4 You represent that:

a. you own or have permission to submit the User Content;

b. the content does not infringe intellectual-property, privacy or personality rights;

c. the content is not defamatory, unlawful, threatening, obscene or discriminatory;

d. the content does not contain malicious software; and

e. all persons identifiable in the content have provided appropriate permission where required.

14.5 WPVL may review, moderate, refuse, remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

14.6 WPVL is not required to publish, retain or respond to any User Content.

14.7 Unsolicited ideas, concepts, designs, slogans, team names or marketing proposals should not be submitted on the assumption of confidentiality or compensation.

15. PHOTOGRAPHY, RECORDING AND MEDIA AT EVENTS

15.1 WPVL Events may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, recorded or broadcast.

15.2 By entering an Event, attendees acknowledge that incidental images or recordings of spectators may be captured as part of crowd, venue, broadcast, security or promotional footage.

15.3 Where specific consent is legally required for a focused interview, testimonial, promotional shoot or individual commercial use, WPVL may obtain separate consent.

15.4 Participants, players, staff, volunteers and accredited persons may be subject to additional media and image-rights terms contained in their respective agreements or consent forms.

15.5 Spectators may take photographs or short personal videos only where permitted by the ticket and venue rules.

15.6 No person may, without written authorisation:

a. professionally record, livestream or rebroadcast an Event;

b. commercially exploit Event footage;

c. create an unauthorised live match commentary service;

d. collect or distribute real-time match data for commercial purposes; or

e. use recordings for betting or gambling services.

16. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

16.1 All rights in the Platform and WPVL Content are owned by, licensed to or lawfully used by WPVL.

16.2 Protected materials include:

a. the WPVL name, initials and logos;

b. the Women’s Pro Volleyball League identity;

c. League and team names, emblems and mascots;

d. tournament and event names;

e. jersey designs and brand assets;

f. photographs, graphics, videos and match footage;

g. fixture lists and official statistics;

h. website design, software and databases;

i. advertisements and promotional campaigns; and

j. slogans, artwork, documents and publications.

16.3 You may access and view WPVL Content for personal, lawful and non-commercial use.

16.4 You must not, without prior written permission:

a. copy, reproduce, republish or distribute WPVL Content;

b. modify, translate, adapt or create derivative commercial works;

c. use WPVL branding on products, services, websites or social-media pages;

d. manufacture or sell counterfeit merchandise;

e. imply endorsement, affiliation or partnership with WPVL;

f. remove copyright, trademark or ownership notices;

g. commercially exploit match footage, images or statistics;

h. register a domain name, username or business name containing WPVL branding; or

i. use WPVL Content to train, develop or commercially operate an artificial-intelligence system or dataset.

16.5 No licence or ownership right is granted except the limited personal-use permission expressly stated in these Terms.

16.6 Requests for media, licensing or commercial usage permission must be sent to info@womensprovolleyballleague.com.

17. ACCEPTABLE USE OF THE PLATFORM

You agree not to:

a. use the Platform for an unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;

b. impersonate WPVL, a player, franchise, official or another User;

c. submit forged documents or false credentials;

d. interfere with the Platform’s security or operation;

e. introduce viruses, malware, bots or harmful code;

f. bypass access controls or security features;

g. scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically extract Platform data without permission;

h. conduct denial-of-service attacks;

i. reverse engineer or attempt to discover the source code of the Platform;

j. collect personal information about other Users;

k. publish abusive, defamatory, obscene or discriminatory material;

l. send unsolicited advertisements or spam;

m. manipulate votes, registrations, ticket allocations or promotions;

n. use the Platform for unauthorised betting, gambling or odds-related activity;

o. falsely claim association with WPVL;

p. resell Platform access or services; or

q. assist another person in any prohibited activity.

WPVL may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law-enforcement or regulatory authorities where legally required.

18. MATCH DATA, STATISTICS AND SPORTING INFORMATION

18.1 Fixtures, results, player lists, rankings, statistics and other sporting information may be provisional and subject to correction.

18.2 Official results shall be determined according to WPVL competition rules and the decisions of authorised match officials or League committees.

18.3 Platform data must not be relied upon for betting, financial, medical, legal or other high-risk decisions.

18.4 Delays may occur between live sporting events and information appearing on the Platform.

18.5 Unauthorised real-time collection, aggregation or commercial distribution of WPVL match data is prohibited.

19. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

19.1 The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms, payment gateways, ticketing providers, delivery partners or other external services.

19.2 Third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies and operational practices.

19.3 A link or integration does not necessarily mean that WPVL endorses or controls the third party.

19.4 WPVL is not responsible for external content, security, availability, pricing or transactions, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

19.5 Users should independently review third-party terms and privacy policies before using an external service.

20. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA

20.1 WPVL may collect and process personal data as described in its Privacy Policy.

20.2 Personal data may include:

a. name and contact information;

b. account and registration information;

c. age and identity documentation;

d. transaction and order information;

e. playing history and sporting information;

f. photographs, videos and submitted documents;

g. device, cookie and usage information;

h. communications with WPVL; and

i. health or fitness information where relevant and lawfully requested for participation.

20.3 Personal data may be used for purposes including:

a. account creation and administration;

b. player or participant registration;

c. event and ticket management;

d. order fulfilment;

e. payment reconciliation;

f. eligibility and identity verification;

g. communication and customer support;

h. security and fraud prevention;

i. League administration;

j. legal compliance; and

k. marketing where permitted or consented to.

20.4 Information may be shared with authorised franchises, coaches, scouts, medical professionals, payment processors, ticketing providers, event partners, technology providers, logistics partners, legal advisers and government authorities where necessary and lawful.

20.5 WPVL shall process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules and notifiern334570search3turn334570search8turn334570search20

20.6 Users may exercise applicable rights relating to access, correction, withdrawal of consent, grievance redressal or deletion by contacting the grievance contact identified below.

20.7 Withdrawal of consent shall not affect processing already lawfully undertaken and may affect WPVL’s ability to provide a service where the information is necessary for that service.

20.8 The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy shall form part of these Terms.

21. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

21.1 By providing your email address or mobile number, you agree to receive transactional communications relating to:

a. account verification;

b. registrations;

c. ticket bookings;

d. payments and refunds;

e. event updates;

f. security alerts;

g. purchases and deliveries; and

h. customer-support requests.

21.2 Marketing communications shall be sent in accordance with applicable law and available consent or opt-out requirements.

21.3 You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe option provided in the communication.

21.4 Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent necessary service, transaction, security or legal communications.

21.5 You are responsible for keeping your contact details updated.

22. ACCURACY AND AVAILABILITY

22.1 WPVL aims to keep Platform information accurate and current but does not guarantee that all information will always be complete, error-free or immediately updated.

22.2 WPVL may correct typographical, technical, pricing, scheduling or content errors.

22.3 The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to:

a. maintenance;

b. technical problems;

c. network failure;

d. cyber incidents;

e. service-provider interruption;

f. updates; or

g. circumstances beyond WPVL’s reasonable control.

22.4 WPVL does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.

22.5 Users are responsible for maintaining their own internet connection, compatible device and cybersecurity precautions.

23. HEALTH, FITNESS AND SAFETY

23.1 Participation in volleyball, trials, training and sporting activities involves physical exertion and inherent risk of injury.

23.2 Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are medically and physically fit to participate.

23.3 WPVL may require a medical certificate, fitness assessment, health declaration or injury disclosure.

23.4 Participants must disclose information reasonably requested where an undisclosed condition could affect their safety or the safety of others.

23.5 Participants must follow instructions issued by coaches, medical personnel, venue management and League officials.

23.6 In an emergency, WPVL may arrange reasonable medical assistance. The cost of such assistance may be the participant’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

23.7 Nothing on the Platform constitutes medical advice.

23.8 Separate risk acknowledgements, insurance conditions or medical waivers may apply to participants.

24. INTEGRITY, ANTI-CORRUPTION, ANTI-DOPING AND SAFEGUARDING

24.1 WPVL is committed to maintaining the integrity, fairness and safety of the League.

24.2 Participants must not:

a. manipulate or attempt to manipulate a match;

b. deliberately underperform for an improper purpose;

c. offer, request or accept a bribe;

d. misuse confidential team or match information;

e. place prohibited bets on WPVL activities;

f. assist unauthorised betting operators;

g. use a prohibited substance or method;

h. harass, bully, discriminate against or abuse another person;

i. engage in sexual misconduct or exploitation;

j. retaliate against a person making a good-faith report; or

k. conceal a known integrity or safeguarding violation.

24.3 Participants may be required to comply with separate:

a. anti-corruption codes;

b. anti-doping rules;

c. safeguarding policies;

d. disciplinary regulations;

e. codes of conduct; and

f. reporting protocols.

24.4 Suspected misconduct may be reported to info@womensprovolleyballleague.com.

24.5 WPVL may investigate allegations and take interim or final action, including suspension, removal, disqualification, cancellation of registration, referral to authorities or termination of an agreement.

25. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

25.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform and its Content are provided on an “as available” basis.

25.2 WPVL does not warrant that:

a. the Platform will always be uninterrupted or error-free;

b. all information will be suitable for every User’s purpose;

c. participation will lead to selection, employment or commercial opportunity;

d. any particular player or team will participate;

e. any sporting result will occur; or

f. third-party services will operate without interruption.

25.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

25.4 Users are responsible for independently evaluating information before relying on it.

26. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

26.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, WPVL, the Company, its directors, employees, officials, agents, franchises and authorised partners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the Platform.

26.2 This may include loss of opportunity, reputation, anticipated profit, business, goodwill or data, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

26.3 For a claim directly relating to a paid transaction, WPVL’s aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the User for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim, except where a higher liability is required by law.

26.4 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability arising from:

a. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

b. wilful misconduct;

c. death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot be excluded;

d. breach of mandatory consumer rights; or

e. any liability that cannot lawfully be restricted.

26.5 WPVL is not responsible for loss arising from:

a. inaccurate information supplied by the User;

b. unauthorised account access caused by failure to protect credentials;

c. purchases from unauthorised sellers;

d. failure to follow event or venue instructions;

e. third-party services outside WPVL’s reasonable control; or

f. circumstances covered by the Force Majeure clause.

27. INDEMNITY

27.1 To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless WPVL, the Company and their officers, employees, agents and authorised partners against third-party claims, losses, damages and reasonable legal expenses arising from:

a. your unlawful use of the Platform;

b. your breach of these Terms;

c. false or misleading information submitted by you;

d. infringement caused by your User Content;

e. your misconduct at an Event; or

f. your violation of another person’s rights.

27.2 This indemnity shall not apply to the extent that a claim results from WPVL’s own negligence, wilful misconduct or breach of applicable law.

28. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

28.1 WPVL may suspend or terminate access to the Platform where a User:

a. breaches these Terms;

b. submits false or fraudulent information;

c. threatens Platform or Event security;

d. infringes intellectual-property rights;

e. engages in harassment or unlawful activity;

f. misuses registrations, tickets or promotions; or

g. creates legal, regulatory or reputational risk for WPVL.

28.2 Where reasonably possible and appropriate, WPVL may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the violation.

28.3 Immediate action may be taken where necessary for safety, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance or protection of League integrity.

28.4 Termination shall not affect rights or obligations that accrued before termination.

28.5 Clauses relating to intellectual property, liability, indemnity, dispute resolution and other provisions intended by their nature to survive shall continue after termination.

29. FORCE MAJEURE

29.1 WPVL shall not be liable for delay, modification, postponement, cancellation or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

29.2 Such circumstances may include:

a. natural disasters;

b. severe weather;

c. fire or flood;

d. epidemic or public-health emergency;

e. war, terrorism or civil unrest;

f. government action or restriction;

g. court or regulatory order;

h. venue unavailability;

i. transport disruption;

j. power, internet or broadcasting failure;

k. labour disruption;

l. security threats;

m. failure of an essential service provider; or

n. any comparable event beyond reasonable control.

29.3 WPVL shall take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate material changes where practicable.

29.4 Refunds or alternative arrangements shall be handled in accordance with the applicable transaction-specific policy and mandatory law.

30. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

30.1 WPVL may update these Terms to reflect:

a. changes in law;

b. new Platform features;

c. changes in League operations;

d. security requirements;

e. consumer-protection requirements; or

f. business and administrative developments.

30.2 Updated Terms shall be posted on the Platform with the revised “Last Updated” date.

30.3 Material changes may also be communicated through email, Platform notice or another appropriate method.

30.4 Changes shall apply prospectively from the stated effective date, unless immediate application is required by law or for security purposes.

30.5 Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

31. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

31.1 These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

31.2 Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties shall attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by written communication.

31.3 A complaint should include:

a. the User’s name and contact details;

b. the relevant registration, ticket or order number;

c. a clear description of the issue;

d. supporting documents; and

e. the remedy requested.

31.4 WPVL shall be given a reasonable opportunity to investigate and respond.

31.5 Any commercial dispute that is legally capable of arbitration and is not resolved amicably may be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the parties.

31.7 The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

31.8 The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English.

31.9 Nothing in this clause prevents:

a. a consumer from approaching a competent consumer commission;

b. a party from seeking urgent interim relief from a competent court;

c. WPVL from protecting its intellectual-property rights; or

d. either party from using any legal remedy that cannot be contractually restricted.

31.10 Subject to applicable consumer law and mandatory jurisdiction requirements, courts of competent jurisdiction at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh shall have jurisdiction over disputes connected with these Terms.

32. GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL

Complaints relating to the Platform, registrations, tickets, purchases, personal data or other WPVL services may be submitted to:

The complaint should contain sufficient information to identify the User, transaction and nature of the grievance.

WPVL shall acknowledge, review and address grievances within the period required under applicable law.

33. GENERAL PROVISIONS

33.1 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with applicable policies and transaction-specific conditions, constitute the agreement between the User and WPVL regarding use of the Platform.

33.2 Severability: If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.

33.3 No Waiver: Failure by WPVL to enforce a provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other right.

33.4 Assignment: Users may not assign their rights or obligations under these Terms without WPVL’s written consent. WPVL may assign its rights as part of a restructuring, merger, business transfer or transfer to an affiliate, subject to applicable law.

33.5 No Partnership: Use of the Platform does not create a partnership, employment, agency, joint venture, fiduciary or franchise relationship.

33.6 Headings: Headings are included for convenience and do not affect interpretation.

33.7 Language: These Terms are drafted in English. Any translated version may be provided for convenience. In case of inconsistency, the English version shall prevail, subject to applicable law.

33.8 Notices: Notices may be delivered through email, Platform notification, registered post or another legally recognised electronic method.

33.9 Electronic Acceptance: Electronic acceptance, registration confirmations and digital communications shall be treated as valid records to the extent recognised by applicable law.
